10 Secrets to Moon Manifesting (#4 is my all-time favorite!)

Manifesting with the Moon can be overwhelming and confusing but it can also change your life! Of course, you want to do it right from the start, so you can manifest more of whatever you want as quickly as possible. I get that, so that’s why I’ve compiled a list of my 10 best tips to help you out.

The Moon is such a powerful ally when trying to manifest your dream life because it has such a strong impact on our personalities, outlook, and our lives. The Moon controls the ocean’s tides and humans are made up of mostly water.

By deliberating acting in accordance with the Moon cycle by harnessing the energy of each different phase, you can more easily harness your ability to achieve your goals and dreams. For example, the New Moon (or the period of time when the Moon is dark to when you see just a sliver of light) is the best time for envisioning and planning. At the Full Moon, occurring two weeks after the New Moon when the Moon is at its brightest, the energy shifts to favoring release and abundance.

If you pay attention and tap into the Moon’s energies throughout the 29.5 day monthly Moon cycle, manifesting your goals and dreams becomes a lot easier and way more fun.

Here are my top 10 Moon manifesting tips:

  1. Leverage the New Moon/Full Moon Wishing Cycle to Manifest Faster

The New Moon, or the time from when you cannot see the Moon at all until you see just a sliver of light, represents new beginnings and fresh energy. The Full Moon, occurring two weeks after the New Moon when the Moon is at its brightest, represents completion, fullness, and release.

I was surprised to find out that most people, even serious Moon Manifesters, don’t know about the New Moon/Full Moon Wishing Cycle. Many people have grown accustomed to doing manifesting rituals on the New Moon AND Full Moon, but few understand the importance of combining the two Moon phases in service of the same goals.

To leverage the New Moon/Full Moon wishing cycle to manifest faster, you would write down your wishes/intentions at the New Moon and then re-write those same wishes as gratitude statements at the Full Moon. With this type of laser focus through the two biggest Moon events in typical month, you can manifest faster than if you just focus on one phase or the other.

2.       Honor the Dark Moon to Release Any Negatives and Love Yourself More

The Dark Moon occurs right before the New Moon, when you cannot see the Moon at all.

The Dark Moon is the best time of the month to dig deep into yourself, retreat from the world to rest and/or resolve whatever is disturbing you, re-discover any self-love that is lacking, love yourself at your worst, heal any woundedness in your heart, and find strength to keep moving forward. The Dark Moon is the most powerful time to release from your life what no longer serves you.

3.       Keep Your Personal Moon Happy

Your personal Moon is the Moon sign that you were born with or that exists in your natal/birth chart. The sign (and the House it is in) contains an important part of the key to understanding what your emotional nature craves and what you truly need to focus on to make yourself happy.

For example, if you were born with your Moon in Taurus, your emotional nature craves stability, interacting with the world with all five senses, and accomplishing things in line with your values. Knowing this information and understanding how to apply it can be an important key to your own self-care and self-nurturing.

4.       Practice Radical Rest During the Dark Moon and/or Waning Period

The Waning period occurs right after the Full Moon and is when the Moon’s light appears to get smaller after the full phase. It is the perfect time to slow down after a period of heavy activity.

I consider radical rest to be a hugely neglected part of our culture. People are so into rushing and accomplishing and hustling that everyone is over-scheduled, overly busy, and oh, so tired.

Radical rest is where you make a date with your bed or couch and just lie there. It can be one of the greatest forms of meditation or therapy that you give yourself. Resting is radical in this day and age because nobody seems to do enough of it and everybody seems to need more of it.

If you can make radical rest a part of your monthly routine during the Dark Moon, it can feel like emerging from a cocoon, where you are then more ready to take on the next cycle of accomplishment with the next New Moon.

5.       Moon Map Your Life

Moon mapping your life means taking an important goal or goals that you have and creating a manifestation action plan for the next month as to how you’ll achieve it. Since I’m a planner by nature and I love routines and guides, this was the first way that I came to start working with the Moon. You can literally create a Moon map for any and every area of your life.

The point of Moon mapping is that each lunar phase gives off a different energy and you can harness that energy in your daily life to achieve your most important goals.

Since the Moon goes through its entire cycle in 29.5 days, you would create a Moon map for one month. General practices to follow when Moon mapping include: For the New Moon period of the month, you would focus on new beginnings, fresh starts, and setting intentions. Through the Waxing phase of the Moon, which occurs from the New Moon to the Full Moon as the Moon grows larger and larger, you would focus on taking action on achieving the goal/intention you set at the New Moon. At the Full Moon, you would focus on what is working, release anything that isn’t working, and readjust your plans toward your goal. At the Waning Moon, when the Moon is decreasing in light, you would focus on slower, steady, more reflective movement toward your goal.

6.       Tap Deeply Into the Power of Moon Manifesting and the Law of Attraction With Emotion

We get closer to our goals by infusing our Moon wishes with feeling. Feeling into our hope and dreams at the right Moon phase is what really makes things happen.

I never understood this until I saw it play out in my own life. You can repeat an affirmation over and over or you can burn a candle or you can say a prayer or you can make a wish or you can set an intention, but if you don’t really feel the feeling of the wish fulfilled and imagine it as something beautiful and fulfilling and safe and happy, you won’t get what you want.

If you’re going to make a wish or say an affirmation or make a plan of intention to do anything, you’ve got to feel really excited about it to make it happen.

7.       Make Gratitude a Habitual Practice

A continual manifestation practice with a continual dose of gratitude helps manifest things more quickly. It puts the manifester into the energy of abundance more quickly and that’s the place where we manifest more quickly from. It can be simply taking a few moments at the start and end of your day to count your blessings or you can incorporate gratitude into your manifestation practice more formally by keeping journals or lists.

8.       Get in Touch With How You Feel During Different Moon Phases and Transitions

Each Moon phase brings different energy with it, as does the Moon as it transitions through each zodiac sign every 2.5 days. For example, during a New Moon, the energy feels to me often fresh, hopeful, and feels like just waking up. During a Waxing Moon, the energy often feels to me a bit restless, like I need to get moving and get things done. During a Full Moon, to me the energy often feels chaotic and emotional. During a Waning Moon, to me the energy often feels like a pause, a rest, and very creative.

When the Moon is in different signs, the energy often feels differently as well. For example, when the Moon is in Aries, whether it’s waning, waxing, full, or new, I often have a lot of energy to get things done. When the Moon is in Pisces, whether it’s waning, waxing, full, or new, I often feel a bit passive and daydreamy.

The experiences that people go through during each phase and transition vary from person to person, and often depend largely on what Moon phase you were born during and what your personal Moon sign happens to be. I was born during a Waning Moon, so I feel very at home during the Waning period. During the Waning Moon, it is easier for me to write, and be creative, and focus. Quite often, during a Full Moon, I have trouble sleeping and everything feels like a fight.

9.       If Something Doesn’t Manifest Right Away, Don’t Give Up

Often, our most important goals and intentions take many Moons, many months, or even many years to manifest. I’ve seen people give up on some of their biggest goals and dreams when they try Moon manifesting for a few months and they don’t see any progress. It’s important to stay the course, keep tapping into how you will feel when your wish manifests, and keep putting it out there.

10.   Create a Daily Moon Manifesting Experience By Journaling

Journaling in a certain way on a daily basis can help you tap into the Moon’s manifesting energy daily. This practice not only encourages you to spend just a few minutes a day on emotional self-care, but it also increases the abundance energy that drives manifesting. In my daily Moon manifesting practice, I like to ask myself the following questions: How am I currently feeling? How do I WANT to feel? What am I currently celebrating? What am I excited to celebrate in the near future (0-2 months)? What am I excited to celebrate in the distant future (3+ months and beyond)?

As part of my daily Moon manifesting practice, I also like to visualize my day unfolding a certain way, where I am feeling the feelings I want to feel while getting done what’s most important to me.

I also try to take the time daily to write down the same affirmation 11 times. To tap into the daily energy of the Moon, I like to choose affirmations related to the zodiac sign the Moon is in or an affirmation related to the wishes I made at the New Moon or Full Moon. For example, one of my favorite Pisces Moon affirmations is “Passion, ideas, and creativity flow to me freely.”

Summary
